Villanova Recruiting Target Harun Zrno Makes College Choice

Villanova recruiting target Harun Zrno committed to Rutgers on Monday, April 28, per a report from Joe Tipton of On3.
A 6-foot-7, 205 pound wing out of Bosnia, Zrno appeared to have narrowed his college choice down to Miami and Villanova in recent weeks, traveling across the pond to visit both programs during the week of April 21. Soon thereafter, a mystery team joined the fray for his commitment. Apparently, that team was Rutgers.
Not typically thought of as a men’s basketball powerhouse — they’ve made the NCAA tournament just eight times in program history — the Scarlet Knights have enjoyed greater success in recruiting during the past two seasons. Their 2024 class included a pair of likely top five picks in this year’s NBA Draft, Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey… perhaps a sign of the Big Ten’s growing NIL budget in the wake of conference realignment.
Zrno averaged 17.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Division I league last season, the top tier of professional basketball in the Balkan nation.
Now that he’s committed to Rutgers, Villanova needs to fill at least four more spots on their roster ahead of the 2025-26 season. One potential recruit is former Kentucky commit Acaden Lewis, the No. 35 prospect in ESPN’s Top 100 for the class of 2025.
