Villanova hosted 2025 four-star recruit Acaden Lewis for an on-campus visit over the weekend of Friday, April 18. Now, the 6-foot-2 left-handed point guard, the No. 31 recruit in his class per ESPN’s rankings, plans to visit the University of Miami before making his decision, per a report from college basketball insider Adam Zagoria.

Lewis initially committed to the Kentucky Wildcats in November 2024, but reopened his recruiting in a surprise move earlier this month, likely in a bid for more playing time. Villanova offered Lewis during his initial recruiting cycle, as they did with many of the top prospects for the Class of 2025 — to largely disappointing results — but didn’t have much success until their recent push. Beyond the Wildcats and Miami, Lewis also has St. John’s and Georgia on his radar.

As of April 23, Villanova has just one recruit for the class of 2025, former Maryland commit Chris Jeffrey, but they’re also in the running for 6-foot-7 Bosnian wing Harun Zrno, who paid the Wildcats an official visit around the same time Lewis did. The Wildcats will need to fill at least five spots on their roster ahead of the 2025-26 season, but that could change with the NCAA expected to weigh adding a fifth year of eligibility for all college athletes in the coming days.
