Villanova football earned the commitment of a pair of 2026 recruits they recently offered, with ATH Abu Fofana and lineman Patrick Degnan choosing the Wildcats on Thursday, June 19.

Fofana picked Villanova over offers from Wake Forest, the service academies, and a series of other Division I programs. Standing 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds with a 78 inch wingspan, Fofana’s size and speed make him a nightmare matchup at both cornerback and receiver. To this point in his career, Fofana has spent more time on defense, but his versatility means that could change at the next level.

The Wildcats offered Degnan just last week. At 6-foot-4 and 290 pounds, he’s a menace in the weight room — here are some of his team lifting records at New Jersey’s Seneca High School — who already possesses a college ready frame with another year to go in high school. His other offers include Maine, Bucknell, New Hampshire and Georgetown.

Degnan tagged Wildcats’ offensive line coach Sean Devine in his offer post, perhaps indicating that the Wildcats want him on their offensive line… but Devine also offered Fofana, as he specifically recruits the Philadelphia area and New Jersey (among a series of other states). The Wildcats initially hosted Degnan on a visit back in March.
