Villanova Football Hitting the Recruiting Trail

Villanova Football head coach Mark Ferrante and staff are working on recruiting their class of 2026, sending out a series of offers in recent weeks.
Among those offers included are NaKeem Powell, a wide receiver/athlete out of West Berlin, N.J.; Randall Blount Jr., a running back and middle linebacker from Pennsauken, N.J.; athlete Abu Fofana of Levittown, Pa., and Jordan Taylor, a cornerback/athlete from Maryland’s North Point high school.
Powell stands 5-foot-11 and weighs 175 pounds, a versatile athlete who racked up 948 offensive yards and 14 touchdowns while splitting time between receiver and running back. On the other side of the ball he added 51 tackles and four interceptions, helping Winslow Township to a 4A state championship.
Powell also has offers from Lehigh, Fordham, ECU and Syracuse with one year to go in his high school career.
Blount is a workhorse back who compiled 1,585 yards and 21 touchdowns on 208 carries, averaging more than 20 totes per game. He also holds offers from ODU, Maine, Temple, and UMass, with 247Sports giving the latter two a “warm” designation in terms of his interest. A physical presence in the backfield, he’s 5-foot-11 and 200 pounds.
Villanova football is the 18th Division I program to offer Fofana, joining Wake Forest, Penn, and all three of the service academies. Standing 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds with a 78 inch wingspan, Fofana’s size and speed make him a nightmare matchup at cornerback and receiver, an athlete whose stock could skyrocket with a strong senior season.
Taylor is a 6 foot tall, 175 pound cornerback clocked as running a 4.47 second 40-yard dash. He also has offers from Akron, Lehigh, and Delaware State.
