Villanova Knicks Finals Run Begins: How to Watch
The Villanova Knicks will begin their NBA Finals duel with the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday, June 3, traveling to the Lone Star State for the first two games of the series. The Wildcats alumni trio of Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and Mikal Bridges will look to join rarified air as players to win both NCAA and NBA titles.
The Knicks won two of three games against San Antonio in the regular season, including a win in the NBA Cup Championship, the league’s early season tournament intended to drive up viewership. Now they’ll get to play with the Larry O’Brien Trophy on the line.
New York’s offense runs through Brunson, who averaged 26.0 points (10th best in the NBA) and 6.8 assists (11th best) this season. Hart provides a bit of everything on both ends of the court, a ‘glue guy’ in every sense of the term with the energy he brings. Bridges’ length and shooting on the wing makes him a valuable contributor whether Brunson and fellow superstar Karl-Anthony Towns are running the show… or if they need someone else to step up.
