Villanova Football Trying to Flip 2026 Running Back

Villanova Football issued an offer to 2026 running back Brandon Way Jr., a 5-foot-10, 180 pound prospect out of Lancaster, Pa., on Wednesday, June 18 per an announcement from Way’s Twitter (X) account.
The rising senior committed to Bryant University, a member of the Coastal Athletic Association since 2024 (and thus a current Villanova conference rival), back in April. He also holds an offer from Syracuse. The Wildcats are the first team to offer him since he announced his commitment to Bryant, and the third team total.
Way racked up 1,816 yards on 217 carries during his junior year, adding 28 touchdowns and averaging 8.6 yards per carry. He also reportedly runs a 4.5 second 40 yard dash. In addition to head coach Mark Ferrante, Way tagged Villanova receivers coach Nathan Pagan and running backs/special teams coach Joshua Fletcher as two of the assistants playing a role in his recruiting.
While the Wildcats will depart the CAA for the Patriot League following the 2025 season — before Way will enroll in college — it’s always fun to see the bragging rights gained after managing to flip the recruit of a current conference opponent.
