Villanova Scheduling: Wildcats to Host Queens in Home Opener

Villanova Men’s Basketball will host Queens University of Charlotte on Saturday, Nov. 8, per a social media post from Queens Men’s Basketball.

With the Wildcats beginning their season on Nov. 3 in Las Vegas, the matchup against Queens will almost certainly serve as their home opener at the Finneran Pavilion.

It will also serve as the first in a three game Multiple-Team Event (MTE), with the other contests taking place against Duquesne and Sacred Heart. The Wildcats will face Sacred Heart on Nov. 11. Per NCAA rules, “If a team plays in three contests, they must complete the MTE within 10 days after the first contest of the MTE.” As such, the game against Duquesne rounding out the MTE will take place no later than Nov. 17.

Per sports-reference.com, this will mark the first ever matchup between Villanova and Queens.
