Report: Villanova Men’s Basketball Adds to 2025-26 Schedule

Villanova Men’s Basketball marked another date to their 2025-26 calendar, agreeing to a nonconference matchup against Sacred Heart, according to a Sunday, April 20 report from Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
The Wildcats will host the Pioneers on Tuesday, Nov. 11, presumably at the Finneran Pavilion, with the start time not yet announced.
Villanova will play each of their ten Big East foes in both home and away matchups next season, as per usual. They also have their season opener planned, set to take place against BYU — and incoming freshman AJ Dybantsa, the top ranked recruit in the Class of 2025 — at a date and time not yet announced.
The season opener will take place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas… a neutral site matchup that heavily favors the Cougars. That will mark the Wildcats’ second game in a row at T-Mobile Arena, as their 2024-25 season came to an end there against UCF in the College Basketball Crown Semifinals.
Beyond Sacred Heart, BYU and the 20 Big East matchups, the Wildcats will play a trio of Big 5 games next season. That leaves six matchups totally unaccounted for in Villanova’s 2025-26 season as the Wildcats look to make it back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2022.
