Villanova football defensive back and two-time FCS All-American Selection Isas Waxter received an invitation to the 2025 NFL Combine, per an announcement posted to his Twitter account on Tuesday, Jan. 28.

Waxter spent six seasons with Villanova, including a medical redshirt in 2022 after an injury caused him to miss the entire season. He racked up three interceptions — all of them during the 2023 season, his first as an All-American — 75 solo tackles, 19 passes defended, three forced fumbles and seven tackles for loss during 46 games in his Wildcats’ career.

A tall, physical cornerback who stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 212 pounds, Waxter participated in the East-West Shrine Bowl on Thursday, Jan. 30, helping the East notch the first shutout win in more than half a century. Waxter’s contribution’s included a third down pass breakup. He also took part in one of the first rounds of physical testing and examination for the prospects, recorded with 32 inch arms and a 77.6 inch wingspan… both above average for NFL cornerbacks.

At the NFL Combine, Waxter will participate in drills like the 40-yard dash, three-cone drill, vertical jump and broad jump, all of which quantify his ability to perform athletic feats critical to the cornerback position. Members of NFL front offices will also get a chance to interview Waxter, getting a better idea of what he’s like ahead of the April draft.

Waxter would be the seventh Villanova Wildcat drafted since 2000: most recent was Christian Benfort, a sixth round pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2022.
