Phillies prospects split their four game slate on Friday, April 10, with the upper echelons of the system winning and the A-Ball teams losing.

Although they lost 6-4 in extra innings, High-A Jersey Shore enjoyed the best pitching performance of the evening. 2024 15th round pick Luke Gabrysh, a right-handed pitcher out of Saint Joseph’s University, pitched four innings of no-hit baseball, striking out nine batters. Seven of those strikeouts came in the first two innings as he allowed a batter to steal first on a wild pitch. Despite the frequent strikeouts, Gabrysh managed to stay ahead in the count and completed his day on an efficient 56 pitches (41 strikes).

Shortstop Devin Saltiban picked up an extra base hit for the second day in a row, going 1-for-5 with a double and a hit by pitch.

Catcher Caleb Ricketts continued his recent run of success at the plate for Triple-A Lehigh Valley, going 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk.

The Reading Fightin Phils came away with a 9-6 track meet of a win, benefitting from two home runs from the bottom of the lineup; Alex Binelas and Bryson Wade did the honors, while outfield prospect Dante Nori went 3-for-5 with a double.

Right-hander Cody Bowker, last season’s third round pick out of Vanderbilt, struggled in his second start for Single-A Clearwater, allowing five earned runs across three innings as the Threshers lost 9-0, their offense continuing to struggle.
