A pair of Villanova Basketball transfers ended up at Loyola-Chicago, with Chris Jeffrey and MD Ntambue of the men’s and women’s basketball teams both announcing their commitment this month.

Jeffrey, a four-star combo guard with three seasons of eligibility remaining, averaged 8.2 minutes, 3.0 points, 1.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists as a true freshman. He appeared in 22 games despite undergoing knee surgery in December, working back to the court barely a month later — an effort that earned him high praise from Villanova head coach Kevin Willard ahead of the team’s Round of 64 game.

A rising sophomore like Jeffrey, Ntambue averaged 10.8 minutes, 1.4 points and 1.1 assists across 25 games played, serving as a backup to star point guard Jasmine Bascoe. The Ramblers will give both former Wildcats a better chance at playing time than they would’ve had at Villanova.
