Former Villanova assistant Rob DePersia will serve as head coach at his alma mater, Rowan University, per a program announcement.

DePersia worked with the Wildcats for two separate stints, from 2019 to 2021 and again from 2022 to 2025; he served as a graduate assistant under Jay Wright upon graduating from Rowan, then followed Kyle Neptune to Fordham for a season before the duo made their return to the Main Line. He then served as Director of Basketball Operations under Neptune during the 2024-25 season. His twin brother, Nick DePersia, currently works for the Wildcats as a Special Assistant to the Head Coach.

With learning experience under one of the best head coaches of this century in Wright, Rob DePersia, who graduated Rowan in 2019, will begin to climb his way up the head coaching ladder the Profs currently compete in Division III.

Per Wright in the Rowan press release, “Rob was a valued member of our Villanova staff. He is a great basketball mind and has worked his way up through the coaching ranks so that he understands every aspect of running a program. He is ready to lead the Rowan program with his skill, passion, vision and loyalty as a proud Rowan alum.”
