Phillies Top 30 Prospects No. 7: Dante Nori, Team Italy Darling
This is the twenty-fourth in a series of stories breaking down the Philadelphia Phillies’ Top 30 prospects heading into 2026.
Phillies fans may know outfielder Dante Nori as the team’s 2024 first round pick, but the rest of the world got to know him in March 2026 as one of the catalysts for Team Italy’s miraculous run to the World Baseball Classic semifinals. Nori slashed .400/.435/.750 with two home runs, a double and two stolen bases in six games for the green, white and red, spending time with current Phillie Aaron Nola in the process.
A 5-foot-9, 190 pound lefty, Nori already has a well-rounded game at 21 years old, an above-average defender with a strong arm, excellent speed and a natural feel for the outfield. He’s no slouch with the bat, either, jumping all the way up to Double-A Reading during his first full season in the Phillies’ organization. Given his height, Nori might not ever become a 20-home run hitter, but he’s capable of doing damage without laying the lumber.
He stole 52 bases last season and drew almost as many walks (75) as he did strikeouts (85), getting on base through any means necessary. Nori added 18 doubles and 12 triples across 125 games last season, a human highlight reel who should make his way to Triple-A this season and crack the big league roster at some point in 2027.
Lets not mince words for the final line on Dante Nori. A sparkplug outfielder with Italian ties has the makings of a Philadelphia superstar before he ever takes the field at Citizens Bank Park.
