Villanova Men’s Basketball transfer Bryce Lindsay committed to Indiana on Wednesday, April 15, per a post to his Instagram account.

A rising redshirt junior with two seasons of eligibility remaining, Lindsay averaged 12.3 points and made 35.6 percent of his three-point shots during a breakout campaign with the Wildcats.  He struggled through a major shooting slump as Big East play began but managed to rebound toward the end of the season, continuing to work at the little things like defense and rebounding.

Indiana will mark Lindsay’s fourth school in as many years: he played at Texas A&M and JMU before transferring to Villanova.

The Wildcats are well set up to survive Lindsay’s departure, as they have a glut of wings like Matt Hodge, Tyler Perkins, Malachi Palmer, incoming recruit Adam Oumiddoch and transfer Devin Royal. They still need a starting point guard and center and have nine spots to fill on their roster.

Right now, Villanova is pulling out all the stops to find their next point guard. They hosted former top ten recruit D.J. Wagner for a campus visit on April 14 and conducted a zoom interview with Central Arkansas transfer Camren Hunter according to a report from Jamie Shaw of Rivals.

Hunter stands 6-foot-3, weighs 205 pounds and has experience at both guard spots. He averaged 21 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists with the Bears last season and will need a medical redshirt for his 2024-25 season at Wisconsin in order to obtain another season of eligibility. A three year starter between two stints at Central Arkansas, he never got off the ground with the Badgers as he continued to recover from an injury that wiped out his entire 2023-24 season.
