Villanova Recruiting: Dante Allen Schedules Miami Visit

Former Villanova Men’s Basketball commit Dante Allen reopened his recruiting on Friday, March 21 following the firing of Wildcats head coach Kyle Neptune.
While Villanova reportedly remained at play for Allen even after he decommitted, there hasn’t been any public movement between himself and the Wildcats since new head coach Kevin Willard took the job. Instead, Allen has an official visit with Miami scheduled for Saturday, April 12, his only visit announced as of yet.
A four-star recruit who occupies the No. 41 spot on ESPN’s Top 100 recruits for the Class of 2025, Allen’s father, Malik, played for Villanova from 1996 to 2000. Allen is a 6-foot-4, 210 pound combo guard who boasts a 6-foot-7 wingspan, a threat on both ends of the court who averaged 21.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 3.4 steals per game as a junior.
Prior to Willard taking over, Allen was the Wildcats’ only recruit in the class of 2025. They currently need to fill at least six roster spots ahead of next season after Aleksandar Gavalyugov elected to enter the transfer portal.
Villanova recently picked up a commitment from former Maryland prospect Chris Jeffrey, who flipped to Villanova following Willard’s departure from the Terrapins. The Wildcats have also been in contact with a pair of European prospects, Harun Zrno and Malick Kordel, both of whom could help them flesh out their 2025 recruiting class. Zrno will pay Villanova an official visit on April 21.
