Villanova Men’s Basketball still needs to fill at least seven spots on their roster ahead of the 2025-26 season after Aleksandar Gavalyugov entered the transfer portal, and one player who they could end up earning a commitment from is former Grand Canyon forward Duke Brennan.

A rising senior with one year of eligibility remaining, Brennan stands 6-foot-10 and tips the scale at 250 pounds. He averaged close to a double-double for the ‘Lopes this past season, putting up 10.4 points and 9.2 rebounds per game while making 64.6 percent of his shots, almost all of his attempts coming from two-point range.

Brennan has an official visit to Villanova set to begin on Tuesday, April 15. Before that, he’s heading to Stanford, and he’ll visit Iowa after his visit to the Main Line. The Wildcats will also host Maryland transfers Rodney Rice — a key player for the Terrapins under new Villanova head coach Kevin Willard — and Braden Pierce in the coming days, along with RMU transfer Alvaro Folgueiras, a lanky 6-foot-9 forward who averaged 14.1 points, 9.1 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game last season on a team that made the NCAA Tournament.

The Wildcats made the top six for Rice along with Tennessee (who he’ll visit after Villanova), Maryland, Auburn, USC and Gonzaga. He’s also considering a return to the Terrapins. Other potential recruiting targets for Villanova include Harun Zrno and Malick Kordel, a pair of European athletes. Zrno will visit the Wildcats on April 21.
