Villanova Forward Eric Dixon Invited to NBA Draft Combine

Villanova forward Eric Dixon received an invitation to the NBA Draft Combine, which will take place between May 11 and May 18 in Chicago, per a league press release on Friday, May 2.
Also invited to the combine was 6-foot-9 St. Joseph’s forward Rasheer Fleming, who averaged 14.7 points and 8.5 rebounds last season, the only player in the NCAA to make at least 60 three-pointers and 40 dunks last season… and one of just eight such players in the entire history of college basketball.
The NBA Draft Combine consists of physical measurements and testing like standing reach, wingspan, three-quarter sprints and vertical leaps.
A Third Team All-American and unanimous All-Big East pick, Dixon led the nation in scoring during the 2024-25 season, averaging 23.3 points per game while making 40.7 percent of his three-point shots as a 6-foot-8, 265 pound wing. He spent six seasons with the Wildcats, serving as a starter for four of those seasons; he redshirted as a true freshman, and gained an extra year of eligibility as a result of the COVID-19 altered 2019-2o season.
Dixon considered entering the NBA Draft last offseason, taking part in exhibition games as part of the pre-draft process, but ultimately decided to return to the Wildcats for his swan song, becoming the program’s all-time scoring leader. Despite his scoring success, Dixon’s age — he turned 24 in January — means he projects as a likely late second round pick. Fleming, meanwhile, pops up toward the tail end of the first round in mock drafts.
