News broke of Villanova Men’s Basketball’s 2025-26 season opener back in December 2024 when the Wildcats scheduled a neutral site matchup with the BYU Cougars in Las Vegas, Nev., but now we have a set date for the matchup: Monday, Nov. 3, per a report from Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

The Wildcats will face off against the No. 1 recruit in the class of 2025, 6-foot-9 freshman wing AJ Dybantsa, in that matchup, which will take place as part of a doubleheader; Florida, the reigning national champions, will face off against Arizona. The exact start time have yet to be announced.

While a neutral site matchup in practice, playing in Sin City provides a hefty geographical advantage to the Cougars. That will mark the Wildcats’ second game in a row at T-Mobile Arena, as their 2024-25 season came to an end there against UCF in the College Basketball Crown Semifinals.

The only other game date set on Villanova’s schedule so far is a Tuesday, Nov. 11 matchup against Sacred Heart, likely to take place at the Finneran Pavilion. Villanova will play each of their ten Big East foes in a home-and-home series, as well as a trio of Big 5 games. That leaves six matchups totally unaccounted for in their 2025-26 season as the Wildcats look to make it back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2022.
