Villanova Men’s Basketball received the commitment of Grand Canyon forward Duke Brennan on Thursday, April 17, their third of three transfers that day. The initial report came from Sam Kayser of League Ready.

Along with the pick up of JMU’s Bryce Lindsay and Maryland’s Braden Pierce the Wildcats now need to fill just four spots on their roster ahead of the 2025-26 season, a marked turnaround from just 24 hours prior, when nearly half their roster spots remained unaccounted for.

Brennan and Pierce give the Wildcats substantial size in the front court: Pierce stands seven feet tall.

A rising senior with one year of eligibility remaining, Brennan stands 6-foot-10 and tips the scale at 250 pounds. He averaged close to a double-double for the ‘Lopes this past season, putting up 10.4 points and 9.2 rebounds per game while making 64.6 percent of his shots, almost all of his attempts coming from two-point range: he’s closer to a center than a stretch-4.

Brennan took an official visit to Villanova on Tuesday, April 15, and made his decision soon thereafter.

Other Wildcats’ transfer targets include Maryland’s Rodney Rice and Tafara Gapare as well as Washington State transfer Nate Calmese.
