Villanova Film Room: Legacy Wildcat Brady Muller a Gritty Bench Guard

This is one in a series of stories reviewing film for each player on Villanova Men’s Basketball’s 2026-27 roster.

A late addition to the Wildcats’ roster, graduate transfer Brady Muller is a legacy Villanovan whose father, Tim, served as a reserve guard on the Main Line between 1987 and 1991. His mother Shauna and sister Tori also attended Villanova, competing on the rowing and soccer teams, respectively. Brady Muller, for his part, spent the first four seasons of his college career as a reserve wing with the Bucknell Bison.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a whole lot of film of Muller — or even Bucknell — to work with. He missed all of the 2025-26 season with a hip injury and averaged just 4.6 minutes across 16 games the previous year.

Games where Muller checked in, such as Bucknell’s 2024 loss to Kentucky, show him lurking in the corner for a potential three-point shot while on offense. Despite standing just 6-foot-4, he also displayed a willingness to mix it up on defense, grappling for rebounds in the paint with much larger players… in short, exactly the type of effort you’d expect from a bench player trying to make the most of the minutes he earns. Tipping the scale at 210 pounds, he has a solid anchor that should help him grind out defensive reps or withstand contact if he tries to attack the paint.

Villanova lists Muller at guard and the Bison had him at forward, a positional grey area that makes sense given the way he played during his time on the court. He won’t play a ton with the Wildcats, but a switch to guard could help Muller make the most of his final season in college.
