Even though they currently roster his brother Matthew, Villanova Men’s Basketball won’t be able to bring 2026 Top 100 prospect Jayden Hodge into the fold.

Hodge, a 6-foot-6, 195 pound small forward, listed his top eight schools in an interview with Joe Tipton of On3 published on Sunday, Aug. 10, and the Wildcats didn’t make the cut: instead, he plans to attend one of Vanderbilt, Old Dominion, Virginia, Penn State, Mississippi State, Georgetown, Northwestern and VCU. After beginning his high school career at St. Rose High School in Belmar, N.J., Hodge announced his intention to transfer to Florida’s Montverde Academy during his final prep season.

ESPN currently lists Jayden Hodge as the No. 63 player in the class of 2026; Matthew Hodge finished at No. 95 in the class of 2024, a four-star prospect who didn’t play a minute during his true freshman season owing to a transcript issue that arose when he moved from his native Belgium to New Jersey.

For a related story, Villanova recently made the top 9 for 2026 ESPN Top 30 prospect Luca Foster, a native of Radnor, Pa.
