Villanova MBB Juggles Nonconference Schedule, Releases Preseason Tipoff Times

Villanova Men’s Basketball juggled their 2026-27 schedule per a Friday, Sept. 25 press release, moving their home date with Fairleigh Dickinson from Dec. 9 to Dec. 29. 

The change will help fill a nearly two week gap between their Dec. 22 Big East home opener against Providence and a road duel with Georgetown on Jan. 3, helping the Wildcats stay fresh around the holidays. It’ll also relieve some pressure on the front end, giving them a break between the Big 5 Challenge (Dec. 5) and a nonconference duel with Wisconsin (Dec. 12), both of which should be physical matchups.
Villanova also released opening tip-off times for each of their three preseason games: they’ll face Rutgers on the road at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11 before hosting George Mason (1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17) and Virginia (7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22).
