Villanova Men’s Basketball recruiting target Jasiah Jervis, the No. 50 player in the class of 2026 according to ESPN, released his top eight schools on Wednesday, Aug. 20 in an interview with Rivals.

The Wildcats didn’t make the cut.

Jervis skyrocketed up the recruiting leaderboard this summer, as he wasn’t even in the Top 100 when the Wildcats offered him back in May. Other Big East programs like St. John’s, Xavier and Seton Hall also made a bid for Jervis’ recruiting, but it seems like Villanova won’t need to worry about facing him at this point in time: his top eight consists of Texas, Pitt, Illinois, Oregon, Michigan State, NC State, Florida and Tennessee.

As of right now, the Wildcats don’t have any recruits in the class of 2026, but they built their roster this offseason with the intention of picking up underclassmen they could keep for a number of seasons. Things can change quickly in the era of the transfer portal, however.
