Villanova Lands ESPN Top 100 Recruit Oumiddoch
Villanova Men’s Basketball picked up their first commitment in the 2026 recruiting class on Wednesday, March 11, with four-star wing Adam Oumiddoch announcing his decision in an Instagram post.
“Trust God’s timing. Excited to announce my commitment to Villanova University,” Oumiddoch’s post reads. “This is where I’m meant to be.”
Oumiddoch stands roughly 6-foot-6 — some sources list him an inch shorter — and weighs 180 pounds. He initially committed to Big East rival St. John’s, but reopened his recruiting in February. ESPN ranks Oumiddoch as the No. 54 player in his class.
He attends Atlanta’s Overtime Elite Academy, a basketball-focused prep school, and put up 28.2 points and 6.7 rebounds per game this season, making 38.6 percent of three-point shots and attempting 18.5 shots per game.
Oumiddoch is quite lanky and will need to add some bulk in preparation for Division I basketball, but a redshirt year isn’t likely. Villanova head coach Kevin Willard has stated this season that in the NIL era, he knows it’s necessary to play top recruits right away.
Oumiddoch’s addition means the Wildcats will have at least five roster spots to fill heading into next season, not counting any transfers once the offseason begins.
