This is one in a series of stories breaking down Villanova Football’s roster ahead of the 2026 season.

Villanova Football’s strength on the offensive line continues with their tackles, one of the deepest position groups on the roster.

6-foot-6, 310 pound junior Kyle Fay leads the way, a legitimate all-conference threat entering his third year as a starter. The other tackle spot will likely fall to either junior Ryan Cregan (6-foot-6, 315 pounds), who has the type of length needed to seal off the edge against would-be pass rushers, or fellow junior Tommy Broderick (6-foot-5, 310 pounds) who started ten games in 2024 before seeing his playing time drop to just seven games last season.

Villanova’s need for tackles doesn’t stop there, as their run-focused offense allows for the use of swing tackles in heavy formations, whether designed runs or play-action passes. Perhaps their best asset as a third tackle is sophomore Dhamir Wesley (6-foot-5, 300 pounds), a born athlete who the Wildcats’ roster lists as expected to battle for playing time.

Other depth options include junior RJ Reyes (6-foot-5, 295 pounds) and redshirt freshman Chris Therien (6-foot-5, 280 pounds), both of whom earned limited playing time during the 2025 season. Therien has the height needed to play tackle but could stand to add some bulk; true freshman Patrick Degnan is another candidate to get his feet wet and at 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds, he already looks the part.
