More details about Villanova Men’s Basketball’s 2026-27 out-of-conference schedule filtered out on Monday, Aug. 17 when Coppin State posted their own non conference slate.

The Wildcats will host the Eagles, who play in the MEAC, on Tuesday, Nov. 24. Last season, KenPom rated Coppin State at No. 363 of the 365 teams in Division I. Their head coach, Larry Stewart, is a Philadelphia native who attended Dobbins Tech in the northern part of the city. He’s struggled to a 15-75 record over three seasons at the helm, improving to 7-24 last season.

As of right now, Villanova has 26 matchups in their 31-game schedule finalized. They’ll play 20 games against Big East opponents, a home-and-home slate against each of the other ten games in the conference. The Wildcats will open the season in Rome against Notre Dame on Nov. 1, will travel to face Pitt (Nov. 17) and Kansas (Nov. 27) and play a neutral site matchup against Wisconsin (Dec. 12) in South Philadelphia.

They’ll also host a return game against Michigan, the reigning national champions, and are likely to play a three-game slate against the other schools in the Philadelphia Big 5, leaving just two open slots on their out-of-conference schedule.
