Villanova Men’s Basketball Recruiting
Report: Villanova Schedules Official Visit With Top 40 Wing Chase Foster
Villanova Men’s Basketball is set to host 4-star recruit Chase Foster, the No. 39 player in the class of 2026, for an official visit per a report from Joe Tipton of On3.
Foster is a 6-foot-7, 200 pound small forward out of Baltimore, Md. who currently attends Florida’s prestigious IMG Academy. Growing up in the Maryland Terrapins’ backyard, Foster picked up an offer from Kevin Willard’s staff back in March 2024. Willard and company continued to recruit Foster upon joining Villanova this offseason, giving him an official offer back in July.
Foster averaged close to 20 points and eight rebounds per game in Nike’s Elite Youth Basketball (EYBL) circuit this summer and saw his outlook as a prospect climb as a result. He’s already up three spots on the Top 100 from his position when the Wildcats first offered him.
In an interview with Sam Lance of ZagsBlog published on July 7, Foster said that the Wildcats are one of the four teams most involved in his recruiting. The other three are Maryland, Mississippi State and Oklahoma State.
Notably, his mention of the Wildcats came before they tendered him an official offer. 247Sports marks his interest in both Villanova and Maryland as warm, although the latter could be a holdover from the Willard regime.
Per Tipton’s report, Foster also has visits scheduled with Pitt, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas A&M.
