Phillies Prospect Watch: Moore, Ricketts Continue to Crush

Phillies affiliates played just three games on Friday, April 24 because of a rainout for High-A Jersey Shore.

Catcher Caleb Ricketts hit his third homer in the last three games for Triple-A Lehigh Valley; second baseman Robert Moore, who the Brewers selected No. 72 overall in 2022, hit his fourth in the past four games, but the long ball did little with the IronPigs’ pitching staff shelled for 12 runs.

The organizational onslaught continued with a 9-0 loss for Double-A Reading. Dante Nori and Austin Murr each collected two hits — both doubles in Murr’s case — but the Fightin Phils couldn’t put runners on base with any regularity… much less plate them. Braydon Tucker pitched six innings of one-run ball and fanned eight batters, but the game ended the second New Hampshire got into Reading’s bullpen.

Single-A Clearwater fell 3-0 to complete the sweep.

Alirio Ferrebus singled in the fourth, the only hit that Threshers managed, and 20-year-old Venezuelan right-hander Brad Pacheco put on the club’s top pitching performance with four relief innings, striking out seven batters and allowing one run.
