Phillies Prospect Watch: Felix Reyes Circles the Bases Twice
Phillies affiliates went 3-2 on Wednesday, May 20, playing a slate of rain-altered games for the second day in a row.
The Lehigh IronPigs won 13-1 behind two home runs from first baseman Felix Reyes (3-for-5); second baseman Robert Moore (2-for-3 with a walk) doubled, while shortstop Christian Cairo and left fielder Steward Berroa each reached base twice. Center fielder Dylan Carlson, a former big leaguer with the Cardinals and Orioles, went 1-for-3 with a walk after homering on May 19 — one of the lone highlights for the Phillies’ organization on a day with two shutout losses.
Left fielder Raylin Heredia went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles for Double-A Reading in a 9-4 loss; catcher Jordan Dissin went 2-for-3 with a walk, while Alex Binelas drew two free passes. Jean Cabrera allowed seven runs (three earned) in two innings, his own error leading to a Portland rally in the second inning. Dylan Campbell (1-for-4) notched his fifth steal of the season, while Heredia got thrown out at second.
High-A Jersey Shore lost 3-2 in five innings. Shortstop Jose Colmenares (2-for-2 with a double and a walk) managed to reach base three times despite the short outing and logged the BlueClaws’ lone extra base hit.
Center fielder Griffin Burkholder continued his hot hitting in a 6-5 win for Single-A Clearwater, going 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk. First baseman Keaton Anthony notched his first home run of the season after starting on the injured list; currently on a rehab assignment, he spent the tail end of the 2025 season with Lehigh Valley. The Threshers won 4-2 in the nightcap of their doubleheader, a Jonathan Hogart home run and doubles from Alirio Ferrebus and Juan Villavicencio (2-for-3) among their offensive highlights.
