Villanova Men’s Basketball added another game to their out-of-conference schedule, with college basketball analyst Rocco Miller reporting on Friday, June 13 that the Wildcats would host Old Dominion University of the Sun Belt.

Per Miller’s report, that game will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at the Finneran Pavilion. The Wildcats have faced off against the Monarchs twice in program history, including a notorious upset loss in the first round of the 1994 NCAA Tournament. Entering the bracket as a No. 3 seed, Villanova fell 89-84 in triple overtime.

Now, they’ll have a chance at revenge.

NCAA Men’s Basketball programs typically play 31 games during the regular season. Big East matchups will account for 20 games on the Wildcats schedule as they play each conference foe at home and on the road. They’ll also host a Multiple Team Event (MTE), facing Sacred Heart, Queens and Duquesne, while their season opener will take place in Las Vegas against BYU on Nov. 3.

The Wildcats will play three games against Big 5 opponents, with matchups not yet announced, and will travel to face the Wisconsin Badgers on Dec. 19; they’ll also face the Michigan Wolverines on the road at some point during the out of conference slate, with both matchups marking the first leg of a home-and-home series.

Counting the ODU game, that leaves two Villanova opponents unaccounted for during the 2025-26 season as they try to make the Big Dance for the first time since 2022.
