Villanova Men’s Basketball will travel to the Fiserv Forum, home of the Marquette Golden Eagles and the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks, on Friday, Dec. 19 to face the Wisconsin Badgers in the first leg of a home-and-home series, according to a report from Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports. Per Rothstein’s report, the Badgers will head to Villanova during the 2026-27 season. Despite the announcement, the details aren’t yet finalized.

Milwaukee sits more than 100 miles from Wisconsin’s Madison campus and the Badgers have used it as a location for neutral site games in the past — including games on their schedule for this upcoming season — but the ‘home-and-home’ qualifier implies that this will serve as a road matchup for Villanova,  carrying extra weight. Right now, many metrics view the Badgers as a top 25 team entering the season, but midway through December we’ll have a much better idea of how these teams stack up than an early season matchup would provide.

As of right now, the only other set date on the Wildcats’ schedule is their Monday, Nov. 3 season opener against BYU in Las Vegas. Of the 31 total slots on their schedule, known matchups include their 20 Big East matchups, games against Queens, Duquesne, and Sacred Heart as part of a Multiple Team Event, a recently-announced road game at Michigan; BYU, Wisconsin, and their three as yet unannounced Big 5 opponents, leaving two potential spots open on their schedule.
