Villanova Men’s Basketball offered 2026 forward Christopher Washington Jr., a composite five-star ranked No. 39 on the ESPN Top 100, continuing their trend of targeting the top talent in upcoming classes.

Washington announced his offer in a Twitter post on Friday, July 19. The 6-foot-7, 185 pound recruit also holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Michigan and West Virginia, among others. Recruiting sites differ on his position of choice, with ESPN ranking him as a power forward and 247Sports as a wing/small forward; Washington, for his part, describes himself as a guard in his Twitter bio.

Washington’s ability to fulfill a variety of roles bodes well in an era of positionless basketball. It could also play a major role in his recruiting, especially if he’s adamant on playing guard at the next level.

While the Wildcats have picked up their recruiting efforts since the summer began, they haven’t managed to secure any members of the class of 2026 yet. Click here for a look at other recruits Villanova offered in the class of 2026, the class of 2027, and miscellaneous recent offers.
