Villanova Men’s Basketball continues to plan for the future, offering 6-foot-9, 200 pound power forward Chase Foster out of the prestigious IMG Academy.

Foster announced his offer in a Twitter post on Monday, July 14. ESPN currently ranks him as the No. 42 prospect in the class of 2024, a consensus 4-star recruit who’s averaging close to 20 points and 8 rebounds per game in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) this summer.

Foster’s other offers include Maryland (who first reached out to him in March 2024 under new Villanova head coach Kevin Willard), Pittsburgh, Florida State and Texas A&M. In an interview with Sam Lance of ZagsBlog published on July 7, Foster said that the Wildcats are one of the four teams most involved in his recruiting. The other three are Maryland, Mississippi State and Oklahoma State.

Notably, his mention of the Wildcats came before they tendered him an official offer. 247Sports marks his interest in both Villanova and Maryland as warm.

While the Wildcats have picked up their recruiting efforts since the summer began, they haven’t managed to secure any members of the class of 2026 yet.
