Villanova offered 2026 five-star recruit Jaxon Richardson, a 6-foot-6 wing out of Miami, per an announcement from Richardson’s Twitter account.

Richardson thanked Wildcats’ assistant coach Ashley Howard and head coach Kevin Willard for putting faith in him.

The No. 6 player on ESPN’s Top 100 for the Class of 2026, Villanova will face an uphill battle in recruiting Richardson. He already has offers from Florida, the reigning national champions, along with recent powerhouses like Georgia, Alabama and Ole Miss. Playing for the loaded Christopher Columbus High School, which also boasts top 100 prospects Caleb Gaskins (No. 13) and Keeper Jackson (No. 91), Richardson has experience playing college style team basketball rather than serving as a one man show.

He and his teammates helped Christopher Columbus to a fourth-straight Florida state championship this past season, playing in an area already renowned as a basketball recruiting hotbed.

Per MaxPreps, Richardson averaged 13.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocks per game as a junior. Already one of the top recruits in the nation, Richardson still has plenty of time to hone his game.
