Villanova Football 2025 Schedule

Villanova Football enters the 2025 season looking to make the playoffs for the third year in a row and fourth time in the last four seasons. The last time (and only other time) the Wildcats made the postseason for three consecutive years came between 2008 and 2010, with a National Championship win thrown in the middle of that run.

Villanova played to a 10-4 record in 2024, making the second round of the playoffs before falling 13-6 to Incarnate Word in a fourth quarter heartbreaker. They finished third in the Colonial Athletic Association, posting a 6-2 conference record due to upset losses at the hands of Monmouth and Maine, earning an at-large bid as a No. 11 seed in the 24 team bracket.

This year, the Wildcats will play an 11 game schedule, facing Colgate, Penn State and Sacred Heart as their nonconference opponents along with eight of their 15 rivals in the CAA. Penn State provides an early challenge, as the Nittany Lions made the College Football Playoff semifinals during the 2024 season, but their in-conference opponents combined for a middling 51-46 record last year.

The Wildcats will play six home games to five away games, with a late season bye week that could help them prepare for a postseason run.
