Villanova Football: 2026 Edge Rusher With Two-Way Potential Commits to Wildcats

Villanova Football earned the commitment of edge rusher Colin Gurley on Wednesday, June 11, a 2026 recruit out of Central York High School. He announced his decision via Twitter and Instagram.
Gurley received his offer from the Wildcats the previous day after working out with them and making an official visit, and decided to lock in less than 18 hours later. He chose the Wildcats over seven other Division I programs including Richmond, New Hampshire, Maine (who viewed him as a potential two-way star) and Sacred Heart.
A three year starter so far at Central York, Gurley racked up 46 tackles, eight tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks (including a strip sack touchdown) as a junior in 2024. He spent time around the line at both defensive tackle and defensive end, also playing tight end on the other side of the ball. Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 225 pounds, Gurley projects best as an outside linebacker or edge rusher at the next level.
During his offer post, Gurley cited Villanova Football assistants Nathan Pagan (wide receivers) and Forrest Rhyne (linebackers) as playing a role in his recruiting, in addition to head coach Mark Ferrante.
Gurley marks the third Wildcats commit in the class of 2026 along with quarterback Nolan DiLucia and linebacker Donovan Linthicum.
