Villanova Men’s Basketball Recruiting
Villanova Basketball Offers 2027 4-Star Big Man
Villanova Men’s Basketball offered 2027 forward/center Jaydn Jenkins, a four-star recruit out of Archbishop Wood High School, on Tuesday, Jan. 20. Jenkins announced the offer in a Twitter (X) post. He paid an unofficial gameday visit to the Wildcats during their game against St. John’s on Saturday, Jan. 17, per a report from Dushawn London of 247Sports.
Jenkins mentioned Villanova assistant coach Ash Howard in his offer announcement. He’s the only member of the Wildcats’ coaching staff who stayed on between the Kyle Neptune and Kevin Willard eras, and he plays a major role in their recruiting efforts. Howard also spent time on Jay Wright’s staff from 2013 to 2018, winning two National Championships in that time.
Already standing 6-foot-10, Jenkins also has offers from Seton Hall, Penn State, West Virginia, Oklahoma State, Temple, Saint Joseph’s and a series of other Division I programs. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 26 player in his class, the top player in Pennsylvania and the No. 4 center. He averaged nine points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.1 blocks per game in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League heading into his junior season, with his size and defense standing out on the court.
