Villanova Men’s Basketball offered 2027 point guard Beckham Black, per an announcement to Black’s Twitter (X) account on Tuesday, Jan. 20.

Listed at 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds, ESPN rates Black as a five-star recruit and the No. 6 player in his class. He already holds offers from close to two dozen major conference programs, including Big East foes Creighton and Georgetown. 247Sports lists his interest in Arkansas, Kentucky and USC as ‘warm.’

He’s the brother of current NBA point guard Anthony Black (Orlando Magic), who went sixth overall out of Arkansas in 2023.

Watching Beckham Black’s highlights, you’ll see a lanky athlete — he could continue to grow, and his brother stands 6-foot-7 — with an excellent finishing touch. Black currently plays for Southeastern Prep (Orlando, Fla.) alongside fellow Top 100 prospects like Jaxon Richardson, Toni Bryant, Obinna Ekezie and C.J. Rosser, all of which should help him continue to develop as a point guard. He also played for Team USA’s U16 squad, winning gold in the 2025 FIBA AmeriCup.

Villanova will have plenty of work to do in order to recruit a player like Black: if they schedule him on a visit, that should indicate that they’re doing more than testing the waters. As of right now, the Wildcats don’t have any recruits in the class of 2026 as they try to get multiple years out of their current group of players.
