Two-time Villanova national champion Jalen Brunson earned Second Team All-NBA honors for the third season in a row, per a May 24 league announcement.

Brunson averaged 26 points and 6.8 assists per game during the 2025-26 regular season, the tenth and eleventh-best marks in the NBA, respectively. He led the Knicks to a 53-28 regular season record, the third-best mark in the Eastern Conference, along with an NBA Cup Championship in December. New York defeated the San Antonio Spurs in that game… one of the two teams the Knicks will face if they advance to the NBA Finals. They currently hold a 3-0 series lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Eastern Conference Finals.

Brunson played a major role in two of the Knicks’ three wins in the series to date, scoring 38 points in an overtime win on May 19 before dropping 30 on May 23 to go ahead 3-0 in the series. Beyond his role as the Knicks’ point guard, he’s also earned recognition for his crunch time ability in recent seasons, winning the NBA’s Clutch Player of the Year Award at the end of the 2024-25 season.

Brunson is one of three players with Philadelphia ties to earn an All-NBA nod. Jalen Duren, who graduated from Roman Catholic and averaged 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game for the Eastern Conference-leading Detroit Pistons made the Third Team, as did 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey, who put up 28.3 points and 6.6 assists per game.
