Villanova Men’s Basketball guard Wade Chiddick will return for a graduate year, sources tell Philadelphia Sports Now. Chiddick joined the Wildcats ahead of the 2022-23 season as a walk-on.

A King of Prussia, Pa. product who graduated from the Westtown School, Chiddick made his first on-court appearance for Villanova last season, playing four minutes in the blowout win over Sacred Heart before sinking a pair of free throws against Xavier in the season finale.

Since Chiddick only played in one of four seasons with the Wildcats, he can use another year of eligibility via the redshirt rule. He appeared in a practice montage the team posted at the beginning of summer practices and, as a presidential scholar awardee in high school, provides the Wildcats with intelligence and a strong locker room presence.

Chiddick’s return leaves Villanova with two open spots on the 2026-27 roster.
