Villanova Men’s Basketball transfer Kris Parker settled on his new home on Wednesday, May 7, committing to UCF per a report from Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports. Parker confirmed the reports with a post to his Instagram account.

A 6-foot-9, 201 pound shooting guard, Parker retains three seasons of eligibility as a redshirt sophomore. He committed to the University of Alabama out of high school, taking a redshirt year there as he added bulk to his lanky frame and dealt with an offseason injury.

Transferring to Villanova at the end of the 2023-24 season, Parker again dealt with an offseason injury, this time a broken toe, but managed to appear in 27 games for the Wildcats for an average of 10.1 minutes per game, their third option off the bench. Parker put up 2.6 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game with Villanova, taking nearly half his shots from three-point range and serving as a key defensive substitution.

Now, he’ll join the Knights, who ended Villanova’s season with a 104-98 overtime win in the College Basketball Crown semifinals.

The Wildcats lost six players to graduation — including all five of their starters during the 2024-25 campaign — and six more to the transfer portal this offseason, but already managed to fill all but two spots on their roster for next season, picking up three high school recruits and seven transfers.
