Villanova Recruiting: ‘Cats Offer 6-foot-8 Junior, Lefty Guard

Villanova Men’s Basketball continued their recent recruiting push, with 2026 forward Trey Thompson and 2027 guard Terence “TJ” Jones each picking up offers from the Wildcats in recent weeks.
Thompson received his offer from new Villanova assistant Greg Manning Jr., who followed Wildcats head coach Kevin Willard from Maryland. A 6-foot-8, 220 pound forward out of Greeneville, Tenn., 247Sports ranks Thompson as a three-star recruit and the No. 137 player in his class based on data collected from all the major recruiting sites (ESPN, Rivals, On3). A capable three-point shot despite his power forward listing, Thompson has a college ready frame… and the kind of positional flexibility that Willard has raved about in recent interviews.
Right now, 247Sports gives Purdue a leg up in Thompson’s recruiting. He also has offers from Tennessee, Butler, Indiana, UConn and Xavier among others.
Jones, while not yet ranked, is a left-handed combo guard who stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 185 pounds, playing for St. Frances Academy in Baltimore. With two high school seasons remaining, Jones has plenty of time to climb up the rankings… and already possesses offers from major conference programs like Virginia Tech, West Virginia and now Villanova.
