Villanova Offers 7 Foot Tall Junior Theo Edema

Villanova Men’ Basketball offered 2027 big man Theophilous “Theo” Edema on Monday, June 2, a four-star recruit who already stands seven feet tall and 220 pounds with two years left in his high school career.

Edema holds offers from Alabama, Kansas, Clemson, Stanford, Creighton and Virginia Tech in addition to Villanova, but he hasn’t landed on any top prospect lists yet: expect his stock to surge as recruiting picks up for his class. He attends Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, Mass., originally hailing from Edo State in southern Nigeria.

Despite his height and listing as a power forward/center, Edema can knock down shots from beyond the arc in addition to his ability as a shot blocker and playmaker in the low post. With plenty of time left in his high school career, Edema could develop into a unicorn of a player on the court before hitting the Division I stage.
