Villanova Men’s Basketball continues to inch their way toward the Associated Press Top 25, receiving 29 points on Monday, Feb. 16 as the fourth team out of the rankings.

Currently amidst a five game winning streak, the Wildcats (20-5, 11-3 Big East) are off to their best start since the 2018-19 season. Alabama, ranked No. 25, picked up 104 points, so Villanova has a significant amount of work to do in order to crack the rankings.

Junior guard Tyler Perkins landed on the weekly Big East honor roll after averaging 19.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in wins over Marquette and Creighton, posting a double-double on the road against the Blue Jays.

Villanova Women’s Basketball (21-5, 14-3 Big East) still hasn’t picked up any poll votes this season despite holding the No. 2 spot in the conference. They’ve won six games in a row heading into a home game against No. 1 UConn. Sophomore guard Jasmine Bascoe made the honor roll for the third week running, breaking the 1,000-point barrier for her career in the Wildcats’ road win against Creighton.
