Phillies prospects went 2-2 to open the week with Lehigh Valley and Reading losing and both A-ball teams picking up wins.

The IronPigs lost a 10-8 track meet after Jean Cabrera gave up hard contact in the third inning, a series of singles leading to a three-run homer and a five run rally. The 24-year-old right-hander finished his day with 3.1 innings, seven earned runs allowed — two inherited runners scored after he got the hook in the fourth — and five strikeouts, landing 48 of 77 pitches for strikes.  Felix Reyes and Christian Cairo continued to get on base at a healthy clip, both going 2-for-4, but Lehigh Valley couldn’t recover from an early 8-1 hole.

World Baseball Classic darling Dante Nori went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and a caught stealing for Double-A Reading; first baseman Alex Binelas, a 2021 third round pick of the Brewers, went 1-for-2 with a homer and a walk, but the Fightin Phils lost 3-1. Alex McFarlane pitched a scoreless inning in relief, striking out two batters to work around a walk and a single.

High-A Jersey Shore won 5-1. Catcher Kodey Shojinaga, a 2024 sixth round pick out of Kansas, went 1-for-2 with a triple and two walks and allowed one steal from his perch behind the plate; Devin Saltiban got on base twice and stole a pair of bases.

Single-A Clearwater rounded out the slate with a 4-1 win. Right fielder Johnathan Hogart logged a double and a home run, while first baseman Jaeden Calderon managed three singles. 2025 fifth round pick Gabe Craig rebounded for a scoreless inning and a save after a two-run blowup last week.
