Keaton Anthony, Bryan Rincon Join Phillies’ MLB Pipeline Top 30

The Phillies’ top 30 prospects list changes as players graduate from the farm system to the big leagues, get traded to other teams or even fall off the list as a result of tempered expectations.

This season, players like Andrew Painter and Justin Crawford fall into the former category, while Zach McCambley and Dylan Campbell are examples of the other two. More than halfway through the 2026 season, the Phillies have two new prospects included on their MLB Pipeline list, first baseman Keaton Anthony and shortstop Bryan Rincon; other new additions include Chan-Min Park, John Spikerman and Raylin Heredia.

Anthony stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 211 pounds, a contact-first first baseman who’s well on his way to setting a career high for home runs this season. He has seven in 46 games (five of them in 35 games with Triple-A Lehigh Valley) after managing just eight in 103 games in 2024. Defense was a concern for Anthony early in his career, but he managed to win a Minor League Gold Glove in 2024.

While he might not ever become a star as a right-handed first baseman without much power, Anthony could develop into a dependable bench bat with strong fundamentals.

Rincon is a switch-hitting shortstop currently slashing .257/.390/.472 with 14 doubles and 13 home runs in 74 games with Double-A Reading. He possesses above-average power for a 5-foot-10 middle infielder and stole 40 bases with High-A Jersey Shore last season, providing excellent defense on top of that.

2026 marks his best season at the plate so far, with an OPS more than 250 points higher than it was last season. Rincon will need to prove he can maintain his hot hitting outside of Reading’s friendly confines, but at 22 years old he’s on a strong trajectory.
