Villanova alumnus Jalen Brunson earned Second Team All-NBA honors for the 2024-25 season after putting up 26 points and 7.3 assists per game across 65 contests. Brunson, who also earned the Kia NBA Clutch Player of the Year award, did so despite missing close to a month of the regular season with an ankle injury.

The 28-year-old point guard, now in his seventh season as a pro, earned his second All-Star selection this season, landing in the exhibition game’s starting lineup for the first time. This marks his second consecutive selection to an All-NBA team, as he also made the second team in 2024.

The only obstacle between Brunson and the first team was fellow point guard and league MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, whose 32.7 points per game led the NBA.

Playing alongside fellow Villanova alumni Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart for the New York Knicks, Jalen Brunson has taken his game to a new level this postseason, averaging more than 30 points per game. Despite his heroics, the Knicks face an 0-2 deficit in the Eastern Conference Finals.
