Villanova Women’s Basketball Picks Up Versatile 2027 Recruit Fisher
Villanova Women’s Basketball added to their 2027-28 roster on Friday, June 19, with Libertyville High School (Libertyville, Ill.) rising senior Lily Fisher announcing her commitment to the Wildcats. A 6-foot-1 guard, Fisher averaged 19.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.9 steals and 3.9 blocks per game last season, using her height to affect the game on both ends of the court.
She visited the Main Line in early June and chose Villanova over offers from Butler, Marquette, DePaul, and a flurry of other Division I programs. Fisher probably fits best as a shooting guard with the ability to guard multiple positions at the next level. While not included on her class’ ESPN Top 100 at the moment, Fisher’s combination of size, scoring and versatility could push her up the rankings with a strong senior season.
Villanova Women’s Basketball has excelled at developing guards like Jasmine Bascoe and Kennedy Henry in recent seasons; commits like Fisher will aid them down the line as they try to build on their first NCAA Tournament appearance in three years. Click here for more Wildcats’ recruiting news.
