Villanova in the Pros
Villanova National Champions Commercial: Relive Better Days

While former head coach Kyle Neptune’s firing became the latest milestone in Villanova Men’s Basketball’s precipitous fall from the heights of the Jay Wright era, Wildcats fans can relive better days as the NCAA Tournament begins with an AT&T commercial starring Villanova national champions Jalen Brunson, Donte DiVincenzo, Josh Hart and Mikal Bridges.
The commercial begins with the camera on DiVincenzo walking down a hallway alone looking at pictures of himself, Bridges and other Wildcats’ alumni adorning the wall. Charlie Puth and Wiz Khalifa’s Billboard No. 1 hit “See You Again” plays in the background as DiVincenzo encounters Bridges, Brunson and Hart walking in the other direction.
As AT&T’s sales pitch concludes they issue a disclaimer: “staying close with your college besties not guaranteed,” which cues skeptical looks from the trio. DiVincenzo faces his former teammates — in addition to his time with the Wildcats, he played with Brunson and Hart in New York as part of the “Villanova Knicks” — with a solemn look on his face.
Brunson then says “hey Donte, catch,” emulating the famous Steelers’ Coca-Cola Super Bowl commercial starring Mean Joe Greene, tossing Donte DiVincenzo a visor emblazoned with the Villanova logo. DiVincenzo dutifully dons the visor and the scene cuts to the four Wildcats’ teammates reunited again, celebrating as a clip of them running down the court during the 2018 national championship run plays, “See You Again” bursting into the post-chorus swoon.
