The New York Knicks began their 2026-27 season with a home loss on Tuesday, Oct. 20, LeBron James and the new-look Philadelphia 76ers playing spoiler in the 106-100 decision. Villanova alumni Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and Mikal Bridges received their championship rings for the 2026 NBA Finals in a pre-game ceremony that revealed the championship hardware’s design for the first time.

Adorned with nearly 800 diamonds and blue sapphires, the white gold rings are loaded with symbolism invoking the Knicks’ stunning title run. The top of the ring comes off with the twist of a mechanism, revealing a recreation of the exterior of Madison Square Garden on one side and the iconic arena’s lower bowl on the other. Emphasizing the team’s focus on togetherness, the jersey numbers of each member of the championship roster are engraved on the top of the ring.

The Knicks gave a look at the ring design from several angles in this Instagram post; Jason of Beverly Hills, the outlet that designed the championship hardware, posted a video giving a behind the scenes look at how they built the rings, including shots of Brunson’s personalized ring. Brunson, who won Finals MVP honors and put up 45 points in the championship-clinching Game 5, was recently honored as one of the top ten players in the NBA in a preseason ranking.
